In the dewy early mornings
when I’m brewing the coffee up,
many watchful beings – both from
here and from beyond — come along
in throngs to visit us, bestowing gifts
of Gladness, of Happiness, and Joy.
We welcome them, say “Come on in!”
to all these loving ones appearing,
smiling blessings, then leaving us
with scattered bits of Beauty
from everywhere they shine.
~Mazie
I hear them in the kitchen
laughing with you, laughing
like there was no tomorrow,
laughing as if to say,
“What could be more fun
than to just show up!”
That’s it, of course –
to just show up.
We have no idea how
we got here, neither do they.
We don’t know what we are —
we are them, they us, laughing,
laughing in the utter
not-knowingness
of it all.
To know one thing
is to know everything.
To let go of even that
one thing is bliss!
Beloved,
I know You,
You know me –
what do we know?
We’re happy just to be.
We’re know-nothings, knowing
enough to just show up, but
maybe not enough yet
to wisely shut up!
Fools for Love,
now there’s a laugh!
In any case,
the coffee’s ready –
everyone bring your cup!
